Chinese language course A1 (without experience)

The course is designed for students with no previous experience in Chinese. The course program will help you learn basic communication skills and understand simple conversational situations.

About the course

Upon completion of the A1 level Chinese course, you will be able to:

  • Greet and say goodbye;
  • Introduce and talk about yourself (name, age, nationality);
  • Communicate on simple topics (weather, hobbies, shopping);
  • Ask and answer basic questions;
  • Read and understand short texts (menus, announcements);
  • Write simple sentences and fill out forms;
  • Know the basics of pronunciation and tones of Chinese;
  • Know basic grammatical structures (simple sentences, parts of speech).

Course grammar material:

  • Tones and pronunciation: The basics of correct pronunciation and the differences between the four tones.
  • Nouns: Basic rules of use and simple declension (singular and plural).
  • Pronouns: Personal pronouns (I, you, he/she, we, you, they) and their forms.
  • Verbs: Basic verbs in the present tense, constructions for expressing simple actions.
  • Adjectives: Basics of agreement of adjectives with nouns, use for description.
  • Numerals: Basic cardinal and ordinal numbers.
  • Prepositions and sentence structure: Basic prepositions for indicating place and time, the structure of simple sentences (affirmative, negative, interrogative).
  • Interrogative words: Basic words for the formation of questions (what, where, when, how).

How often are the A1 Chinese classes held, and how long does each class last?

The classes take place twice a week for 2 teaching hours (90 minutes) according to a pre-arranged schedule.

What are the terms of payment for the A1 Chinese course at the Polyglot Training Center?
