Finnish language course A1(without experience)

The course is designed for students with no previous experience of learning Finnish. The course program will help you master basic communication skills and understand simple conversational situations.

About the course

Upon completion of the Finnish A1 course, you will be able to:

  • Basic Grammar: Understand simple grammatical structures.
  • Basic Vocabulary: Can use vocabulary on topics such as family, work, food, shopping and everyday activities.
  • Speaking: Can carry on simple conversations, introduce yourself and others, ask and answer questions about yourself and others.
  • Reading: Can read and understand short and simple texts.
  • Writing: Can write simple sentences, fill in forms and compose short messages.
  • Listening: Can understand and follow the main points of simple conversations and dialogues on familiar topics.
  • Cultural Aspects: Knowledge of Finnish culture and traditions, which will help to better understand the context of communication and customs in Finland.

Course grammar material:

  • Alphabet and pronunciation: Introduction to the Finnish alphabet and reading rules.
  • Nouns: Declension in the nominative, genitive and accusative.
  • Adjectives: Declension and degrees of comparison.
  • Verbs: Conjugation of regular verbs in the present tense; stems of irregular verbs.
  • Pronouns: Personal and possessive pronouns.
  • Interrogative constructions: Forming questions and using interrogative words.
  • Simple sentences: Forming affirmative and negative sentences.
  • Numbers: Counting from 1 to 100 and the basics of number formation.
  • Prepositions: Basic prepositions of place and time.
  • Tenses: Present tense; introduction to past and future tenses.

What are the payment terms for the Finnish A1 course at the Polyglot training centre?

The payment terms for the Finnish language course provide for the option of splitting payments into months. However, it is also possible to pay for the entire course at once. This allows students to choose the most convenient payment option depending on their preferences and financial capabilities.
