German language A1 for Beginners

This course is designed for students who have not studied German before. The course program is aimed at school students and adults who need German for everyday communication and travel.

About the course

Upon completion of the A1 level German course, you will be able to:

  • Understand and use simple expressions and phrases for everyday needs.
  • Introduce yourself and others, tell basic information about yourself.
  • Ask and answer questions about personal data (place of residence, acquaintances, etc.).
  • Communicate at an elementary level in everyday situations.
  • Navigate the main situations in a German-speaking country (shopping, transport, etc.).
  • Read and understand simple texts (announcements, instructions, etc.).
  • Fill out forms and write short notes.
  • Use basic grammatical structures (simple sentences, present tense).
  • Pronounce words and phrases clearly enough to be understood by native speakers.

Course grammar material:

  • Alphabet and pronunciation.
  • Articles: definite (der, die, das) and indefinite (ein, eine).
  • Nouns: gender and number.
  • Pronouns: personal (ich, du, er/sie/es), possessive (mein, dein, sein), demonstrative (dieser, diese).
  • Verbs: present tense (Präsens), irregular verbs (haben, sein), modal verbs (können, müssen), imperative.
  • Adjectives: degrees of comparison, agreement with nouns.
  • Numerals: cardinal and ordinal.
  • Prepositions: spatial (in, an, auf), temporal (am, im, um).
  • Cases: nominative, accusative, dative.
  • Syntax: word order, simple sentences, conjunctions (und, oder, aber).

How often are the A1 classes held, and how long does each class last?

The classes take place twice a week for 2 teaching hours (90 minutes) according to a pre-arranged schedule.

What are the terms of payment for the A1 German course at the Polyglot Training Center?

The payment terms of the German course provide for the option of splitting payments by month. However, it is also possible to pay for the entire course at once. This allows students to choose the most convenient payment option depending on their preferences and financial capabilities.
