Level A2 in Latvian is an elementary level of language proficiency. This level is designed for students with minimal knowledge of Latvian, who have already mastered basic communication skills and want to develop them. The course aims to expand vocabulary and deepen grammatical knowledge, allowing students to communicate more confidently in everyday situations.

About the course

Upon completion of the A2 level Latvian course, you will be able to:

Have simple conversations on everyday topics.
Understand and use more complex expressions in everyday situations.
Read and understand texts of medium complexity.
Write simple texts such as letters and notes.
Understand spoken language on everyday topics.
Use basic grammar for more complex sentences.
Comprehend the social and cultural environment of Latvia.

Course grammar material:

Agreement of nouns and adjectives.
Verbs in past, present and future tenses, modal verbs.
Various pronouns: Personal, possessive, demonstrative, interrogative.
Interrogative and negative sentences.
Subordinate clauses:
Prepositions of place, time and direction.
Basic and ordinal numerals.
Conjunctions for linking sentences and expressions.
