The course is designed for pensioners who want to start learning Latvian from scratch in a comfortable and supportive environment. It is suitable for everyone who wants to master basic communication skills in Latvian for everyday life.
No, no previous experience is required. The course is designed for beginners (A1), so we start with the very basics and gradually move on to more advanced topics.
The classes takes place in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with an emphasis on the practical use of the language in everyday situations. We focus on speaking practices and simple life topics such as shopping, doctor's visits, and socializing with neighbors.
Classes are held twice a week, depending on the chosen schedule. We try to make the schedule as convenient as possible for seniors.
The course is designed for 64 teaching hours (32 classes, 4 months of study)
Groups are small, usually 5 to 10 people. This allows the teacher to give each student enough attention and provide a personalized approach to learning.
We learn basic phrases and expressions for everyday communication, the basics of grammar and pronunciation, as well as the skills necessary to solve simple life problems – how to make a purchase, ask for help, understand and answer questions.
Yes, this course is suitable for all seniors, even if you have never studied other languages. We teach in a convenient and accessible format, taking into account the characteristics of each student.
